Connections Sports Unlimited is a helpful practice mode that gives players unlimited access to boards that have already appeared. Each puzzle follows the familiar Connections format. It changes how you can practice while keeping the original puzzle experience intact. This mode is a perfect warm-up if players enjoy Sports Edition but want more opportunities to improve their puzzle-solving skills.
Same Puzzle Rules, No Daily Limit
The core challenge does not change in Connections Sports Unlimited. Each board gives you 16 words and requires you to divide them into four groups of four. The goal is to find the hidden relationships between the words. Some groups may be immediately visible, while others can involve a more specific sports connection. Players also have four mistakes available. If players use all four, the board reveals its complete solution. What changes is simply how often players can play. There is no need to wait for another daily puzzle.
How Connections Sports Unlimited Works
Connections Sports Unlimited lets players practice solving puzzles freely without waiting for the next daily puzzle.
- Scan the 16 words: Players read the entire grid and find words that are clearly related.
- Build a sports connection: Group words that share a common theme, category, or characteristic.
- Submit the group: Choose four words and submit to check. If correct, the group is locked, and the remaining words become easier to analyze.
- Solve the remaining groups: Continue with elimination and the emergence of new connections.
- Continue solving: Press New Puzzle to move to another puzzle and keep practicing.
How the Boards Are Chosen
Every board in Connections Sports Unlimited comes from a real Sports Edition puzzle that has already been played. The selection is designed to keep practice varied while making sure the current daily puzzle stays out of the pool.
- Past puzzles only: Boards are taken from previously published Sports Edition puzzles.
- Random selection: Past boards are shuffled, so you will not receive them in chronological order.
- Today’s puzzle excluded: The current live puzzle is never included, keeping Sports Unlimited spoiler-free.
